The Department of Mathematics organizes an awareness seminar on "Self-Development for University Students" to enhance their academic and personal empowerment.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the Department of Mathematics held an important awareness seminar entitled "Self-Development for University Students." The seminar, specifically targeting female students in the department, focused on the psychological, academic, and social aspects that contribute to their success and excellence throughout their university studies and beyond.

The seminar featured presentations by a select group of professors, with Dr. Malath Rahim Jassim from the Department of Mathematics at the College of Science serving as the supervisor and organizer.

Presented by Dr. Mufaz Salah Abdulqader from the Iraqi University/College of Education for Women and Dr. Abdulkarim Mohammed Khalaf from the University Presidency/Central Library, the seminar addressed key topics including the importance of self-confidence, time management, balancing academic and personal life, and developing the leadership and interpersonal skills necessary for university students to contribute effectively to society. The seminar witnessed a highly positive response from the students, featuring open discussions about the challenges they face in the university environment. The speakers offered a range of practical tips and guidance to help them effectively overcome these challenges.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Dr. Esmat Ramzi Abdel Ghafour, expressed his gratitude to the speakers for their valuable contributions and presented them with certificates of appreciation for their efforts in enriching the seminar with information and expertise.
