College of Science Wins Third Place in Women's Shooting and Fourth Place in Chess Championship
The College of Science achieved two new sporting accomplishments in the tournaments organized by the Student Activities Department at the university's main campus, confirming the excellence of its students in both scientific and athletic fields.
The College of Science's female student team won third place in the air rifle shooting championship. The participating students demonstrated high skill and accuracy in aiming, which qualified them for this advanced ranking among the university's colleges. This achievement is evidence of the college's commitment to developing students' focus and control skills.
In another achievement reflecting intellectual prowess, the College of Science's male student team achieved fourth place in the chess championship, which witnessed fierce competition. The college team was able to demonstrate its tactical skills and its ability to compete strongly for top positions.
It is worth noting that Yassin Sufian Naji, a student from the Chemistry Department, was selected to represent the university in international tournaments in recognition of his outstanding performance in the chess competitions.
The Dean of the College of Science congratulated the participating teams, appreciating the efforts of the students who represented the college so well and raised its name high in the university's sporting events.
