“Successful Student Elections for the Student Representative at the College of Science”

In a democratic step to enhance student participation in decision-making, the College of Science held elections today, Sunday, 23 November , 2025, for representatives of the academic departments, resulting in the election of a "general student representative" at the college level.

The voting process was conducted under the supervision of "Prof. DR. Ismat Ramzi Abdel-Ghafoor", Dean of the College of Science, to ensure the highest levels of integrity and transparency.

The final results announced the following students as the elected representatives of their respective departments, having received the highest votes:

Ahmed Younis Ali – Department of Chemistry
Naif Adel Khalaf – Department of Physics
Laith Adnan Youssef – Department of Bioengineering
Hamza Haitham Attallah – Department of Biology
Waleed Zaher Abd – Department of Applied Geology
Majid Hamid Shehan – Department of Mathematics

Among them, "Ahmed Younis Ali", representing the Department of Chemistry, received the majority of votes across the college and was therefore elected "general student representative" for the entire College of Science.

At the conclusion of the elections, the Dean congratulated the winners, emphasizing the importance of their role as a link between students and the administration. He encouraged them to responsibly and professionally convey the opinions and suggestions of their peers to contribute to the development of the academic environment.
