Between the Corridors of Science and the Fragrance of Heritage: "University of Anbar Concludes a Distinguished Week for the Malaysian Delegation with Field Visits and Knowledge Exchange"

The University of Anbar, represented by the College of Science, concluded an intensive scientific and cultural program for a high-level academic delegation from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, following a multi-day visit that uniquely combined academic engagement with an introduction to the rich cultural heritage of Al-Anbar Governorate.

The visit commenced at the College of Science, where the delegation conducted an extensive tour of advanced scientific laboratories and academic facilities, gaining insight into the College’s infrastructure. Beyond inspection visits, the delegation enriched the academic program by delivering a series of high-quality scientific lectures targeting both postgraduate and undergraduate students, opening broad avenues for the exchange of expertise and research perspectives. The agenda also included an official meeting with the President of the University of Anbar, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida, who welcomed the delegation and emphasized the depth of scientific relations between the institutions. The first day concluded with an evening tour of Ramadi city markets, offering the guests a glimpse into local culture and social life.

On the second day, the delegation embarked on a scientific and cultural trip to Heet District, visiting the College of Applied Sciences, where they were received by the Dean, Assist. Prof. Dr. Rassim Faraj Muslim, along with members of the academic staff. After touring laboratories and academic facilities and delivering lectures to students, the delegation explored the historic landmarks of Heet, expressing admiration for the iconic Heet waterwheels (Nawair) and touring the old city, where they learned about traditional local crafts and production methods.

The third day was dedicated to Haditha District, with a visit to the College of Basic Education, where the delegation was welcomed by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Mazhar Abdul Ali, and the academic staff. The visit expanded to include the administrative and cultural dimensions of the district through a meeting with the District Commissioner of Haditha**, followed by a visit to the  Cultural House, where the delegation immersed themselves in local folklore and examined heritage artifacts that narrate the city’s long-standing history.

The visit culminated on the fourth day with the delegation’s participation in the central celebration marking the 38th anniversary of the founding of the University of Anbar, held by the University Presidency. On the sidelines of the celebration, the delegation was escorted on a tour of the Central Laboratories Unit and the Nanomaterials Research Center, where they reviewed state-of-the-art scientific equipment and technologies comparable to those available at leading international universities.

Reflecting on the success of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mohd Rozi, Head of the Malaysian delegation and Dean of the College of Applied Sciences at "UiTM", praised the high academic standards observed throughout the University of Anbar. He expressed deep appreciation for the warm hospitality and generous reception extended to the delegation, and affirmed his commitment to opening broad horizons for **future collaborative cooperation** between the two universities in support of their shared scientific and research missions.

In turn, the President of the University of Anbar, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida, extended special thanks and appreciation to the visiting delegation during his address at the anniversary celebration, describing them as distinguished guests of the University and emphasizing the importance of intensifying such activities to enhance the University’s international standing.

In conclusion, special recognition is due to the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul-Ghafoor, who extended the official invitation to the delegation, as well as his colleagues Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mishaal Mohammed and Assist Prof. Dr. Nabil Fawzi Lutfi, who accompanied the guests throughout the week during all scientific and field visits. Their continuous efforts to ensure the delegation’s comfort, implemented with precision and professionalism in accordance with the University Presidency’s directives, played a pivotal role in the success of the visit and in presenting a bright and honorable image of the University of Anbar, Al-Anbar Governorate**, and the renowned hospitality of its people.
