The Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul-Ghafoor, accompanied by the Assist. Dean for Scientific Affairs, met on Sunday, 28 December 2025, with **postgraduate students (Master’s and PhD programs) at Ibn Sina Hall.

This periodic meeting was held as part of the College Deanship’s commitment to closely monitoring the academic and research process and maintaining direct communication with students to assess progress in their research projects. During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of maintaining scientific rigor in the preparation of research papers, theses, and dissertations, stressing the necessity of publishing in reputable international journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate to enhance the international standing of the University of Anbar.

For his part, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs clarified the ministerial and university regulations governing the stages of research writing and thesis defense, urging students to adhere strictly to the approved academic timelines.

The meeting also featured an **open discussion session**, during which the Dean and the Assistant Dean listened to students’ comments and inquiries regarding challenges they may face during their research period. In response, the Dean directed that all obstacles be addressed and that an appropriate **laboratory and research environment** be provided to ensure the successful completion of students’ research projects to the highest academic standards.
