**Builders of Minds… Pioneers of Progress: "In Appreciation of Their Dedication, the Department of Physics Honors Its Academic Staff"

In an atmosphere marked by appreciation and gratitude, the Head of the Department of Physics at the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Jamal Malallah Razeej, honored a number of distinguished faculty members on Sunday, 19 October 2025, at Jabir Ibn Hayyan Hall. The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul Ghafoor, along with several heads of academic departments, faculty members, and students.

This recognition came in appreciation of the outstanding efforts made by the honorees over the past years in the fields of teaching, scientific research, and student service, as well as their effective contributions to enhancing the academic standing of both the department and the college.

During the ceremony, the Dean expressed his pride and appreciation for the faculty of the Department of Physics, commending their productive scientific contributions and the dedication and commitment they have demonstrated in carrying out their academic duties. He also reaffirmed the college administration’s commitment to supporting distinguished academic staff and honoring them on a regular basis in recognition of their efforts and achievements.

Fourth-year students from the Department of Physics also took part in the ceremony, expressing their deep appreciation and gratitude to their instructors, whom they regard as role models in both knowledge and ethics. The students presented commemorative shields as a symbolic gesture of thanks for the guidance and encouragement they received throughout their years of study.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and shields of appreciation to the honored faculty members, amid an atmosphere of pride and celebration that reflected the strong sense of unity and collegiality that characterizes the Department of Physics, as well as its commitment to fostering values of mutual respect and appreciation between faculty and students.
