Biotechnology Department Achieves the “Double” and Wins the Open Football Championship on Penalties

In a distinguished sporting achievement this year, the Biotechnology Department continued its dominance in college tournaments by securing the title of the “Dean of the College of Science Open Football Championship,” adding it to its trophy cabinet after previously winning the Futsal Championship against the Department of Chemistry.
The new title came after a highly competitive and intense final match against the Department of Biology. Although regular time ended in a goalless draw, the determination of the Biotechnology players enabled them to overcome the challenge of the full-sized field and clinch the title through a penalty shootout (4–3). The decisive moments witnessed an outstanding performance by the Biotechnology goalkeeper, who saved two crucial penalties and secured victory for his team.
This achievement reflects sustained dedication and continuous support from the Head of the Biotechnology Department, who consistently encourages and supports students in various sporting events.
