College of Science Welcomes Students from "Al-Bashir Girls’ Secondary School" on a Scientific Visit to Its Laboratories
As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen scientific and educational cooperation between the university and educational institutions and in line with its community role in supporting and attracting young talents, the College of Science welcomed on Thursday, March 5, 2026, a group of students from **Al-Bashir Girls’ Secondary School** along with their accompanying teaching staff for a scientific field visit to the college and its laboratories.
The visit program included a comprehensive exploratory tour of several advanced scientific laboratories affiliated with the college's departments. During the tour, faculty members, laboratory supervisors, and technical staff provided detailed explanations and practical demonstrations about the functions of modern laboratory equipment and the procedures involved in conducting scientific experiments. The aim was to simplify scientific concepts and connect the theoretical knowledge the students study at school with practical applications.
This visit comes within the College’s vision to motivate students and encourage them to pursue pure scientific disciplines such as physics, chemistry, life sciences, and geology. It also aims to bridge the psychological gap between secondary school and university education, allowing the students to closely observe the distinguished academic and research environment that characterizes the College of Science, thereby helping them determine their future academic paths with confidence.
At the conclusion of the visit, the administration of Al-Bashir Girls’ Secondary School, the accompanying teaching staff, and the students expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the college deanship and its staff for the warm reception, excellent organization, and valuable information provided, which will leave a positive impact on their academic journey. They also wished the college continued progress and success.
