Training workshop on academic program accreditation standards
The College of Science at the University of Anbar held a training workshop on the standards for accreditation of scientific programs, in Jaber bin Hayyan Hall on Wednesday, November 30, 2024.
The workshop aimed to familiarize faculty and administrators with the program accreditation standards set by the National Council for Accreditation of Scientific Programs, with the aim of raising the quality of scientific programs offered in Iraqi universities and working to develop them according to international standards.
The workshop addressed a set of important topics, including (program accreditation standards), where a detailed explanation was provided of the standards set by the National Council for Accreditation of Scientific Programs, which include standards related to the quality of the teaching staff, curricula, available resources, student evaluation, and others, where the mechanisms through which these standards can be applied in the programs of various colleges of science were reviewed, and how to benefit from the evaluation results to improve the quality of programs. The lecturers provided many practical examples of how to apply program accreditation standards in various colleges of science.
